The ETC Inc. Dual Range Rev Limiter is a unique control device that has been designed to work with all Mallory Magnetos. Models are also available for the Vertex Standard Internal Coil and External Coil Magnetos. Other types of ignitions are available on request.<br />
<br />
Adjustable RPM limiting is provided by an adjustable push wheel select every 100 RPM increments from 2,000 to 9,900 RPM. Limiting is accomplished by causing a programmed misfire sequence of the engine when the RPM exceeds the set point.<br />
<br />
It does not short the mag or alter the magneto performance in any way. It is completely safe with a supercharged engine and will not cause backfire. This unit has been designed using the newest linear, digital, and power devices. The device weighs only 8 ounces and is small in size at 4.0 x 2.25 x 1.80 inches. Overall it has been designed to operate in the presence of mechanical vibrations, high electrostatic ignition noise generated by magneto ignition systems.<br />

Caution: It is imperative that both magnetos timing is synchronized together within one degree. The blue wires are connected to the primary side of each magneto kill switch.<br />
<br />
The low range is selected by applying +12 volts to the yellow wire. The low range rev limiting should not be set below 2,000 RPM.<br />
<br />
The optional tachometer output is capable of readings of +12,000 RPM. It is an integral part of the signal input of the magneto and will indicate RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) of the ignition system. It is a valuable addition to the rev limiter. We make two versions. One being a 5-volt square wave output and the other being a 12-volt square wave output for accommodation of a variety of tachometers.<br />

Adjustable RPM limiting is provided by an adjustable push wheel switch which selects the RPM in increments of 100 from 2,000 to 9,900 RPM. Limiting is accomplished by causing a programmed misfire sequence of the engine when the RPM exceeds the set point. <br />

It does not short the mag or alter the magneto performance in any way. It is completely safe with a supercharged engine and will not cause backfire or crossfire in the cap which causes catastrophic engine damage. This unit has been designed using the newest linear, digital, and power devices. The device weighs only eight ounces and is small in size at 4.0” x 2.25” x 1.80”. Over all, it has a mounting plate with holes for grommets or DZUS fasteners. This rev limiter has been designed to operate in the presence of mechanical vibrations and high electrostatic ignition noise generated by magneto ignition systems.</span><br />

RPM Switch for a 12-Volt System is a unique control device that has been designed to work with all Mallory Magnetos. Models are also available for the Vertex Standard Internal Coil and External Coil Magnetos. Other types of ignition are available on request. </span><br style="color: #222222;" /><br style="color: #222222;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222;">Adjustable RPM setting is provided by an adjustable push wheel switch which selects the RPM in increments of 100 from 2,000 to 9,900 RPM causing a switch point when the RPM exceeds the set point. The normally closed contact (gray wire) is then switched to the normally open contacts (orange wire) from the common (green wire) supply of plus volts or a ground. It will switch a 20-amp circuit. </span><br style="color: #222222;" /><br style="color: #222222;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222;">This unit has been designed using the newest linear, digital, and power devices. The device weighs only eight ounces and is small in size at 4.0” x 2.25” x 1.80” with two additional one-inch mounting flanges on each side. Over all it has a mounting plate with holes for grommets and/or DZUS fasteners. </span><br style="color: #222222;" /><br style="color: #222222;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222;">The optional tachometer output is capable of readings of +12,000 RPM. It is an integral part of the signal input of the magneto and will indicate RFI (radio frequency interference) of the ignition system. It is a valuable addition to the rev limiter. We also make two versions. One being a 5-volt square wave output and the other being a 12-volt square wave output for accommodation of variety of tachometers.</span></span><br />
